We are located in Alexandria Bay which is approximately 90 miles north of Syracuse, NY. We are situated out in the country on 800 acres of open fields and forest. We have about 1/4 acre of fenced play area for our shelties to run, and play in. We also take advantage of the open fields where we take our dogs for daily walks (off lead and as a group). All our shelties are home raised and are an important part of our family. By choice we try to limit our numbers to 10 shelties so that each one can get the attention they so desire. As we know shelties can be a bit demanding when it comes to wanting attention.

In addition to raising the dogs, I am also registered with AKC as a CGC tester and obedience instructor.  I am presently writing a book on how to teach your dog obedience from ten weeks on.  The first step is socialization and from there the pup/dog learns how to walk on lead, sit, down, and stay.  This is taught on three different levels.  Level one is the Basic Education, level two is Continuing Education, and level three is the Final Education.  If your dog passes all three levels they will pass the CGC test as well as being a well behaved puppy/ dog.
