The picture above shows three of my girls here at Wyndeway.  The female on the left is the mother of the other two.  The female in the middle is a shaded-sable whereas the female on the right is a tri-color.  This shows how diverse offspring can be in the Shetland Sheepdog breed. It was this diversity and statements made by the uneducated public that I decided to put this page together to demonstrate the wide range of colors that the Shetland Sheepdog may come in.  SO many times I have met people that didn't know that shelties come in a variety of coat colors. They assumed that the sheltie was only a "brown dog" and also thought that this brown  dog was a tri-color.   With high hopes I wish to educate the public in a creative way by showing the wide range of coat colors from the sables to the blacks to the blues to the color headed whites and the double merles.
